Michelle Lazaro is the Corporate Secretary of Tiger Resorts, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. (TRLEI), which the parent company of Okada Manila. Michelle’s role at Tiger Resorts entails a lot. Her role involves her to handle a wide range of responsibilities in the company. Whether it is corporate governance, compliance, or making sure that operations are seamless – Michelle handles it all. 

She makes sure that there’s adherence to company’s mission, standards, and values. She also supports the Board of Directors and keeps everything in sync with the stakeholders. Michelle has made it her personal mission to uphold the values that were set by her father, Manuel "Lolong" Lazaro – the former Okada Manila Chairman. 

What made Michelle Lazaro successful was her focus on operational effectiveness and corporate governance. She has placed some strict corporate policies (which are definitely required) and made sure that the company is always compliant with the legal and regulatory requirements that are necessary in the hospitality industry. She also plays a major role in decision-making process and sits with the Board of the Directors. 

Apart from Tiger Resorts, Michelle also focuses on maintaining the reputation and integrity of Okada Manila resorts. Inspired by her father’s beliefs, her goal is to maintain Okada Manila position in the market as an example of excellence. 

Michelle Lazaro admits that at times it gets challenging for her to balance her professional responsibilities and put aside her personal connection with Okada Manila. But she keeps on pushing herself through this and look where Tiger Resorts is standing today. Rewarding, right? That’s what Michelle says.
